Student Senate Isolation Commission Act Of Fall 2020

Relating to supporting students in isolation.
Be it enacted by the LeTourneau University Student Senate
Short Title
Section A.
This act may be referred to as the Senate Isolation Commission Act of Fall 2020
Establishments
Section B.
A Commissioner will he appointed to coordinate a support network for students in isolation
This network will consist of student and faculty volunteers to pray, support, and encourage students in isolation.
The Commissioner will report to the student life committee. In the case of a vacancy, the duties of the position will be fulfilled by the Student Life Committee.
Appropriations
Section C.
A total of two-hundred fifty ) United States Dollars (USD) will be allocated for the purchase of food, care packages supplies, and other supplies.
All funds not used in this manner shall revert back to the Senate General Fund
Effective Date
Section D.
This act shall become effective upon passage, and will cease to be effective at the end of the Spring 2021 semester.
Stipulations
Section E.
All activities of this commission shall be in accordance with current COVID guidelines. Special care will be taken to protect the privacy of students, in accordance with HIPPA and FERPA.

Section F.
Isolation is a stressful situation to be in. We as Christians have a responsibility to care for and meet with our brothers and sisters, in all situations.
